Description

Vector® Sports Vision Training

The Better You See, Recognize, and Exploit Information, The More Successful You Are.

True Sports Vision Training

The Vector® Ball emits a short burst of light, randomly changing the color of the ball (red, green, or blue) each time it is struck, bounced, caught, etc.  This provides athletes with unpredictable visual information that enables, live action, Cognitive Vision Training drills.

Vision training exercises the brain using visual information.  The result is an improved ability to rapidly transfer visual information into deliberate athletic action (Speed of Reaction).

Train Your Eyes, Train Your Brain, Improve Your Game.

Vector® Ball supports a full spectrum of CVT drills and is scalable to develop the Speed of Reaction of any athlete, youth to professional; and is used to improve athletic performance for practically every sport.  The Vector® Ball is durable.  It can be submerged in water, caught, bounced, or thrown against a wall repeatedly at game speed without damaging the ball or affecting performance.  It can even be used for batting practice with young athletes.  The Vector®Ball’s patented technology represents the most versatile vision training device available.  See the impact® on your game today.

How long do Vector® Ball batteries last? Are the batteries rechargeable?

The batteries are not rechargeable however they are the highest quality available.  Battery life is dependent on cycles and durations of use (workouts) however, the Vector®Ball is engineered to provide over six (6) months of live action cognitive vision training (CVT).

What is Cognitive Vision Training (CVT)?

CVT, sometimes referred to as Neuro-Visual Training (NVT) or Vision-Based Speed-of-Processing (VSOP) training, are exercises that develop information processing ability and improve your Speed of Reaction sports vision training. Our Vector® Ball is the choice for Sports Vision Training across the US. Regular athletic training consists of predetermined actions and movements i.e. the athlete knows exactly what is required before the drill begins. Cognitive Vision Training (CVT) is when the athlete does not know exactly what is required when the drill begins, and must accurately process visual information during the drill to be successful. For example, if the athlete sees the Vector® Ball turn red, then they must catch it with their right hand (execute a specific action associated with that color). CVT exercises the mind’s ability to process information. This is done by introducing unpredictable visual information during the drill that provides instruction on what is required to complete the drill.

Wall Drill (individual)

Athlete stands approximately 10 ft. from wall, (adjust distance to increase or reduce difficulty. Closer = more difficult).

Throw Vector® Ball against wall and catch it with hand corresponding to the Ball’s color when it strikes the wall, e.g. if Ball is green when it strikes the wall then catch it with left hand, if red – right hand, if blue – both hands. You should change the color – hand association from time to time.

Ball should impact wall at approximately the athlete’s height, e.g. 6 ft. athlete’s throw should strike the wall at 6-7 ft., (adjust height to increase or reduce difficulty. Lower = more difficult). REPEAT

Floor Drill (partner)

Two athletes stand approximately 15 ft. apart, facing each other, (adjust distance to level of athletes conducting drill).

Bounce pass Vector® Ball to partner and they catch it with hand corresponding to the Ball’s color when it strikes the floor, e.g. if Ball is green when it strikes the floor then catch it with left hand, if red – right hand, if blue – both hands. You should change the color – hand association from time to time.

Then bounce pass Ball back to partner, (adjust the Ball’s skip distance to increase or reduce difficulty. Closer = more difficult). REPEAT

Terms of Use

Inspect Vector® Ball prior to each use.  Before using the Ball conduct a visual inspection checking for signs of damage, including but not limited to rips, cuts, holes, or gouges.  Do not leave Vector® ball outside, as prolonged exposure to elements (sun, rain, etc.) can degrade the Ball.  The Vector® Ball contains electronic components housed within a hard-protective casing inside the ball.  If the outer shell is damaged it is possible that the hard casing could separate from the Ball and strike a person or property.  Do not use if damaged and stop using immediately if damage is noticed.
